Mr. Oizo - Stade 2 (2011)
d/l - http://www.mediafire.com/?mvl2ak351udrutx
“CHECK OUT THA SAXOPHONE! MISTA OIZO LUVS ZA SAXOPHONE, DUZN HE??” Delivers. Oizo returns to his wobbly/error-prone/goofy electro sound and puts out the DANCE ALBUM OF THE YEAR.
Golden Retriever - Golden Retriever 2 (2010)
d/l - http://www.mediafire.com/?v4yw1x49qwl9mr9
One guy plays clarinet and one guy plays synthesizer, and they process one another. Something like that. Mysterious drones. They also have something like 4 other albums on top of this.
Mike Cooper - Rayon Hula (2005)
d/l - http://www.mediafire.com/?p1p0ti1dfgyxd1d
Twin Peaks tropicalia. Less about coconuts and more like a store filled with nothing but pina colada mix. Strange, dreamy music.
Giant Claw - Tunnel Mind (2011)
d/l - http://www.mediafire.com/?3rnjgibia56i4nu
An all synth prog-rock journey through the tunnel…. of your own mind. Incredibly fun album that sounds like the ultimate videogame soundtrack. I recommend buying it from his Bandcamp page for the princely sum of nameyourownpricebro. (http://giantclaw.bandcamp.com/releases)
Nisennenmondai - Destination Tokyo (2009)
d/l - http://www.mediafire.com/?77x5pn9flhyly0g
Incredible minimalist band. A standard bass/guitar/drum three-piece that piles layer upon layer through their loop pedals until it’s five minutes in and you realize that the guitarist is jamming over 8 layers of her own loops, the bassist has the focus of a zen monk and the drummer is an atomic clock.
Identity Theft - Night Workers (2011)
d/l - http://www.mediafire.com/?gdqpav9fwz88zg9
Super atmospheric cyberpunk 80s-esque synth music. Download it here or consider paying Name Your Price on bandcamp (http://identitytheft.bandcamp.com/album/night-workers)
Can - Future Days (1973)
d/l - http://www.mediafire.com/?9dxz4qtcshtcbp6
Crack open a coconut and dream of summer. Oh man.
Bomb 20 - Reality Surpasses Fiction (2003)
d/l - http://www.octofoil.info/mp3/ups/bomb_20_-_reality_surpasses_fiction.flac
Dense, narrative breakcore album. Thematically very similar to One Nation, i.e. an obsession with mortality and bass, although the actual aesthetic is crisp drums and a cavalcade of clever samples.
Hype Williams - One Nation (2011) // Do Roids and Kill E’rything (2010)

There’s something about this that reminds me of early Aphex Twin, although it’s not a linear connection. Hypnotic synths, precisely processed drum machines, and improbably heavy bass. Sort of like a warm blanket for your brain, except it kind of sounds like dying.
powmod & bijan rezvani - somebody take my baby from my heart (2012) // strawberrynoodle (2012)
d/l - http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?qoa5jc9xtnkuq4o // http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?nzo0hlm85puahqv
Incredible music by 2 dudes who do a weekly computer music jam session over the internet. Generally ambient; Somebody uses more samples and is a bit more overt, while Strawberry is centered around subtle, morphing Max-MSP patches.
